If you are unable to make calls while roaming

There may be several reasons for this:

  1. Roaming is not activated.
  2. SIM settings are not accepted. Restart the device.
  3. The network standard in the country you’re visiting is below 4G and automatic switching is not available. Change the standard to one that is available manually in the phone settings: for example, from 4G to 3G.
  4. No automatic registration in the foreign operator's network. Select the operator manually in the phone settings. This may take several attempts (for detailed instructions, read the Smartphone owner's guide).

What is roaming?

Mobile operators around the world enter into agreements with each other to provide their customers with an extended coverage area.

This means that your device connects to the guest network in a visited country, which allows you to make calls, send and receive texts, use instant messengers and social media as well as browse the web while abroad. This is what roaming is all about – a technology that allows you to stay connected abroad.

What is data roaming?

Data roaming occurs every time you use the Internet. Without roaming, you will not be able to use data while abroad.

I need support while roaming

If you are roaming, you can get help by calling our call centre on +7(701)000-30-30, +7(727)258-80-00 (free call), +7(727)258-70-21 (chargeable call).

Please do not call the call centre on 9099 when you are roaming in order to avoid unnecessary charges and incorrect billing.

Important to know

Turn off roaming in the border areas of Kazakhstan. Warning: roaming prices are very high compared to domestic rates.

Call forwarding when roaming is charged based on the outgoing/incoming roaming call rates, which vary from country to country. It is, therefore, recommended that you disable forwarding calls by calling ##002#. If that doesn't work, turn off call forwarding and voicemail in your phone settings.

If you are planning a long trip abroad, you should keep in mind that in some countries your phone may stop working after 30 days of your stay there. It’s because customers are required to register their phones with local carriers to prevent smuggling and theft of mobile phones. Failing which, unregistered phones will be disconnected from service.
