Telemetry and Static IP

Telemetry is a service that allows users to create a robust network to monitor and control remote terminals via Kcell GPRS, utilizing the M2M Base Tariff.

Potential uses:

  • Vehicle monitoring (GPS trackers, remote transport control sensors)
  • Payment systems (POSM terminals, ATMs)
  • Energy metering systems (water, electricity, heat, etc.)
  • Security systems (alarms, motion sensors, video cameras)
  • FMCG (tablets, mobile devices for sales representatives)
  • Banking (connecting remote sites to the common corporate network)

Client equipment required to connect to the Telemetry service:

  • Router that supports L2TP, IPSec, GRE, IP-IP;
  • Constant Internet connection;
  • Mobile devices that support PPP with internal or external GPRS modem.

Client equipment required to connect to the Static IP service: PC, POS-terminal or other client equipment that supports PPP, with internal or external GPRS modem with IP Forwarding feature.

If the SOHO Telemetry service does not function, you should do the following:

  1. Restart the mobile computer
  2. If after restarting the terminal does not function, insert the SIM card into another terminal or subscriber device and check whether the connection is available or not.
  3. Check balance in Profile
  4. Check blocking in Profile
  5. If the issue persists, please contact our call centre at 9099.
